About This Role
The Loan Processor serves as a liaison between members and Lebanon Federal Credit Union, promoting a sales and service culture by actively recommending credit union products and effectively meeting members’ needs. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of loan department products, procedures, and policies, as well as providing financial advice to members.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Consumer, Indirect, and Home Equity loan operations of the Loan Department.
- Process, close, fund, and service all loan types, including ordering reports, processing loan payments, and funding indirect loans.
- Greet and welcome members courteously, providing prompt and efficient service.
- Provide service-related information concerning credit union products, services, or policies via in-person, telephone, or email.
- Take new loan applications and service existing loan accounts, promoting and cross-selling products based on member needs.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services, as well as related policies and regulations.
- Promote and explain other credit union services such as electronic services, debit and credit cards, and real estate loans.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures set forth by the Credit Union.
- Assist Senior Loan Manager, Underwriters, Branch Manager, and Assistant Branch Manager with assigned duties.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Previous related experience in lending or member service is preferred but not required.
- High level of knowledge and procedural expertise of all credit union services and products is required.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Windows are required.
- Intermediate mathematical skills and proven written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to cross-sell credit union products and services.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multifunctional tasks.
