Loan Processor

About This Role

This loan processor role involves reviewing mortgage loan applications for completeness and accuracy, verifying supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance. The position requires a sense of urgency, teamwork, and a strong customer service focus, as the loan processor will be the main point of contact for customers.

Responsibilities

• Process loan applications for portfolio and Fannie Mae mortgage loans, including opening escrow, ordering title reports, and requesting necessary information
• Use knowledge of title conditions to resolve pending conditions and stipulations with Mortgage Loan Officers, escrow/title, and customers
• Obtain and review documents for compliance with loan conditions, coordinating with various parties to complete loan submissions and perform closings
• Maintain system accuracy, issue proper disclosures as required by federal regulatory compliance, and review rate lock and loan point for accuracy
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in mortgage loan processing
• At least 5 years of computer experience, preferably with Encompass automated origination system
• Strong customer service skills and ability to manage difficult conversations to a successful outcome and positive customer experience
• Excellent organizational skills (ability to prioritize) preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills preferred
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills preferred
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
