Responsibilities
- Assist loan and investment applicants navigate the approval and closing process
- Determine the financing product, structure, and terms
- Determine the applicant’s creditworthiness and financing risks
- Recommend approval or declination of requests
- Advise, counsel, and assist clients whenever possible
- Prepare and make presentations of financing recommendations to loan committees
- Adhere to company policy guidelines and provide necessary reports
- Market and identify loan and investment opportunities
- Evaluate financing applicants’ requests according to company guidelines
- Collect, review, and analyze an applicant’s relevant history and records
- Analyze applicant’s documents, including financial statements and income tax returns
- Obtain additional information about an applicant to determine and validate their creditworthiness
- Supervise junior analysts
- Identify the level of risk of the loan or investment
- Prepare in-depth financing presentations and recommendations to loan committees
Requirements
- Three years of experience in analyzing and underwriting business loans and investments
- Detail oriented
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or finance (required)
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis skills
- Good business writing skills
- Understanding of commercial loan and investment products
- Excellent communication skills

- Financial analysis: 3 years (required)
