Litigation Paralegal

About This Role

The Litigation Paralegal will manage a high-volume caseload of Texas civil litigation matters from inception through judgment. This role supports attorneys with case management, legal drafting, court filings, and trial preparation, and suits a candidate with a strong understanding of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and experience managing litigation deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception through judgment
• Assist attorneys with property tax, delinquent tax, and foreclosure litigation matters
• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Electronically file court documents and monitor filing requirements and deadlines
• Coordinate court settings, hearings, and other litigation-related activities
• Assist with trial preparation, evidence organization, and case documentation
• Communicate with court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and other relevant parties
• Maintain organized case files, legal documents, and case management records
• Track case activity, deadlines, and litigation progress across a high-volume caseload
• Conduct legal and procedural research as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy across all assigned matters

Requirements

• 2+ years of Texas civil litigation paralegal experience
• Experience managing civil litigation matters from inception through judgment
• Strong working knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
• Experience with legal drafting, court filings, electronic filing systems, and deadline management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and a high-volume caseload
• Professional communication skills and a collaborative approach
• Comfortable working in a fully onsite, open-office environment

Nice to have:

• Trial preparation experience
• Clio experience
• Property tax, delinquent tax, or foreclosure litigation experience
• Bachelor's degree; equivalent litigation experience may be considered
