Litigation Paralegal

About This Role

Litigation Paralegals keep cases moving by coordinating documents, deadlines, research, and communication across the legal team. This role supports general, commercial, and civil litigation matters, helping attorneys prepare accurate, organized case materials. By managing filings and case records carefully, you help attorneys meet procedural requirements and give clients clear, timely support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and case support to attorneys handling litigation matters
• Prepare, format, proofread, and file pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and other legal documents
• Maintain electronic and paper case files, track deadlines, and manage calendars
• Assist with discovery, including organizing records, preparing document productions, and tracking responses
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties
• Coordinate hearings, depositions, meetings, and other litigation-related logistics
• Conduct basic legal research and factual investigation as assigned
• Enter time, assist with billing tasks, and perform general office duties as needed
• Handle confidential information with care and follow firm procedures

Requirements

• Strong writing, proofreading, organization, and time-management skills
• Professional communication skills and sound judgment when working with clients and court personnel
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn the firm’s and Maryland’s case-management and filing systems
