Lighthouse Communication & Marketing Principal

About This Role

This high-autonomy, high-impact individual contributor role is central to Intuit's Lighthouse program, which is its premier customer engagement and advocacy community. The principal will own the narrative strategy that shapes how the community is presented both internally to senior leadership and externally across go-to-market channels. They will define the communications and marketing strategy for a program that impacts every major business unit.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the narrative framework for Lighthouse across Intuit's senior leadership
• Own the weekly executive briefing to over 1,200 leaders, setting the signal on program delivery, customer insights, and business focus areas
• Shape how customer insight translates into executive attention and action
• Craft executive content for high-stakes external moments such as keynotes, talking points, customer panels, and flagship events like Intuit Connect
• Serve as strategic advisor to senior leaders on messaging, customer context, and narrative positioning
• Build frameworks for repeatable executive storytelling
• Build and manage the strategic pipeline for identifying and featuring Lighthouse customers in Intuit's go-to-market activities
• Partner with Product Marketing, Brand, and Field Marketing to bring customer stories to life across campaigns, events, and sales enablement
• Define the criteria and process for customer selection and measure the downstream impact of customer storytelling on go-to-market outcomes
• Own the end-to-end Lighthouse communications strategy and execution, both internal and external
• Continuously evaluate communication effectiveness and adapt the function as the program scales into new verticals and executive stakeholder needs shift
• Build measurement into the work to ensure impact is visible
• Operate as a strategic partner to Marketing, driving alignment across PMM, Brand, Events, and Content teams to embed Lighthouse customers into Intuit's broader narrative
• Proactively identify opportunities where customer voice can shape marketing strategy

Requirements

• 7+ years in a senior communications, content strategy, or marketing role, ideally in tech
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
• Track record of shaping narrative strategy, not just executing it, by defining how organizations communicate about their customers and influencing business decisions through this work
• Proven ability to write for executive audiences: crisp, high-signal, zero fluff, with experience crafting content for C-suite and SVP-level leaders
• Experience building and managing go-to-market storytelling pipelines or customer advocacy programs with measurable impact
