About the role
Summary The Lifestyle Change Specialist partners with Parkview co-workers and multidisciplinary teams to promote healthy lifestyle behaviors and improve overall well-being. This role assesses individual wellness needs, provides personalized health coaching, supports wellness initiatives, and empowers co-workers to achieve sustainable behavior change through education, motivation, and accountability. The Lifestyle Change Specialist serves as a resource for co-workers, leaders, and organizational partners while utilizing evidence-based practices to support long-term health and wellness.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Exercise Physiology, Nursing, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related healthcare field required.
Licensure/Certification
- Valid driver's license required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification required.
Experience
- One to three years of experience in wellness, health promotion, lifestyle coaching, or employee wellness preferred.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and delivering health education or wellness programming preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assess co-worker readiness for behavior change and identify barriers to achieving wellness goals.
- Develop individualized wellness action plans in collaboration with co-workers.
- Provide health coaching, education, and ongoing support to help co-workers improve overall health and well-being.
- Motivate co-workers through goal setting, accountability, and evidence-based behavior change strategies.
- Connect co-workers with appropriate wellness resources, educational materials, and organizational support programs.
- Refer co-workers to appropriate internal resources or healthcare providers when concerns fall outside the scope of health coaching.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.
- Plan, coordinate, and participate in wellness events, educational programs, and initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles across the organization.
- Stay current on evidence-based practices related to health coaching, wellness promotion, and behavior change.
- Serve as a wellness resource for co-workers, leaders, and organizational partners.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment that encourages positive behavior change.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Critical thinking and sound decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
