Licensed Private Investigator

About This Role

Working carefully and discreetly, the Private Investigator supports clients and attorneys in child custody and family law matters. This role involves gathering evidence, performing surveillance, researching records, and preparing clear, professional reports while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Conduct child custody investigations, including surveillance of residences, exchanges, and living conditions
• Gather information through research, interviews, public records review, and observation
• Document parenting plan compliance, safety concerns, and relevant activity
• Prepare accurate, detailed investigative reports suitable for attorney or court use
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all Washington licensing and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate professionally with clients, attorneys, and other relevant parties

Requirements

• Current Washington Private Investigator license required
• Experience with surveillance, background research, and report writing
• Strong attention to detail, professional judgment, and discretion
• Ability to work independently and maintain accurate records
• Reliable transportation and willingness to work flexible hours as cases require

Nice to have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in child custody or family law investigations
