Heartline Staffing is recruiting Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for full-time 3rd-shift opportunities in Erie, Pennsylvania. This is an onsite nursing opportunity caring for veterans and their spouses in a residential setting. LPNs work closely with Registered Nurses and the nursing team to provide safe, respectful, compassionate resident care.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- Full-Time LPN Opportunity
- 3rd Shift Only
- 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
- 80 Hours Biweekly
- Every Other Weekend
- 100% Onsite In Erie, PA
- Veterans And Spouses Resident Population
- Paid 4-Week Orientation
- Weekly Pay
COMPENSATION
- Local Pay: $37.00 Per Hour
- Paid 4-Week Orientation
- Weekly Pay
- Overtime Available After Successful Completion Of Orientation
- Overtime Rate: $55.50 Per Hour (1.5x Base Rate)
SCHEDULE
- 3rd Shift Only: 10:45 PM-7:15 AM
- Full-Time: 80 Hours Biweekly
- Every Other Weekend
- 100% Onsite - No Telework
ROLE
- Assist The RN With Daily Assessment Of Resident Health Status
- Administer Medications And Treatments As Ordered
- Order And Receive Medications According To Procedure
- Verify Pharmacy Medications For Accuracy And Maintain Required Records
- Observe Residents For Changes In Condition And Report Findings To The Nursing Team
- Document Daily Resident Care And Clinical Information
- Collaborate With The RN In Developing And Adjusting Resident Plans Of Care
- Make Rounds And Support Resident Safety And Well-Being
- Assist With Resident Feeding And Personal Care As Needed
- Ensure Residents Are Clean, Safe And Well Groomed
- Provide Specialized Care To Residents On Specialty Units, Including Alzheimer Care
- Follow Infection Control, Universal Precaution And Safety Practices
- Respond To Alarms, Calls For Assistance And Emergency Situations
- Work Collaboratively With RNs, LPNs, CNAs And Other Members Of The Care Team
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Authorization To Practice As A Licensed Practical Nurse In Pennsylvania REQUIRED
- Ability To Work Full-Time 3rd Shift, 10:45 PM-7:15 AM REQUIRED
- Ability To Work Every Other Weekend REQUIRED
- Ability To Perform Essential Job Functions REQUIRED
- Ability To Administer Medications And Treatments And Provide Direct Resident Nursing Care REQUIRED
- Ability To Respond To Alarms, Calls For Assistance And Emergency Situations REQUIRED
- Ability To Follow Infection Control, Universal Precaution And Safety Practices REQUIRED
- Satisfactory Criminal History Reports, Including PA State Police And FBI Clearance, Following Conditional Offer REQUIRED
TEMPORARY PRACTICE PERMIT / NEW GRAD ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates With An Active Temporary Practice Permit May Qualify
- Employees With An Active Temporary Practice Permit Must Obtain LPN Licensure Within The One-Year Period Defined By The Pennsylvania State Board Of Nursing
- Candidates Within 60 Days Of Completing A Practical Nursing Program Approved By The State Board Of Nursing May Apply
- At Time Of Appointment, Candidate Must Possess A Current Valid PA Temporary Practice Permit Or PA LPN License
