About the role
Role Overview: The position involves performing clinical tasks within the LPN scope, including vital signs collection, specimen gathering, medication administration, and patient education. You will support regulatory compliance, conduct CLIA-waived lab tests, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic medical records. Collaboration with healthcare providers and the care team is essential to coordinate patient care and promote positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform clinical procedures and assist with patient care under supervision when needed
- Administer medications safely, following policies and standards
- Educate patients and families on health management and prevention
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Conduct laboratory testing, quality control, and documentation
- Support front office functions such as scheduling and patient communication
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain clinical competency
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduation from an accredited Practical Nursing program
- Current NYS Practical Nurse License, Limited Permit, or eligibility within a 90-day grace period
- Preferred: Basic Skills Certifications (CPR)
Work Environment & Additional Info: The role involves working in clinical and office settings with frequent movement, in a fast-paced environment requiring PPE use. The position serves patients of all ages and does not involve supervising staff.
