Licensed Marriage And Family Therapist

About This Role

This role is for a compassionate and experienced Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide high-quality mental health services through a remote/telehealth setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with individuals, couples, and families, and should have experience providing culturally responsive care to diverse populations, including Spanish-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive client intakes, clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning
• Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy through telehealth
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Systems Theory, Trauma-Informed approaches, DBT, and other clinically appropriate modalities
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, clinical assessments, and treatment goals
• Provide crisis intervention and appropriate support for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral concerns
• Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment records
• Provide culturally sensitive and client-centered care while incorporating appropriate counseling principles based on client needs
• Collaborate with other professionals and support continuity of care when appropriate

Requirements

• Master

’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field

• Current, valid LMFT/MFT license in New Jersey
• Clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families
• Experience providing services through telehealth
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations

Nice to have:

• Experience working with Spanish-speaking clients
• Experience with trauma-focused therapy, DBT, Systems Theory, or similar evidence-based approaches
• Prior experience in a behavioral health or mental health telehealth environment
• Previous sales or business-development experience is a plus

• Employment type: Part-time (16-20 hours/week) with potential to transition to full-time
• Job type: 1099 / Independent Contractor
• Part-time caseload: Approximately 20 sessions per week
