Licensed Embalmer / Mortician (Stay In/out Hydro Aspiration Machine)

About This Role

This role involves the proper preparation, embalming, and presentation of human remains for viewing, utilizing a Hydro Aspiration Machine. It suits a licensed embalmer or mortician who can work with dignity and professionalism while coordinating with chapel staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform embalming and prepare human remains in accordance with established procedures, health standards, and safety protocols
• Operate the Hydro Aspiration Machine and other embalming equipment safely and properly
• Perform grooming, dressing, makeup application, and retouching to ensure the deceased are presentable for viewing
• Handle casketing and ensure proper positioning and preparation of the deceased
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of embalming tools, equipment, and the preparation area
• Treat the deceased with dignity, respect, and professionalism at all times
• Coordinate with chapel staff regarding preparation requirements and viewing schedules
• Demonstrate sensitivity and good interpersonal skills when dealing with bereaved families and colleagues
• Follow workplace procedures and applicable health and safety regulations

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Mortician/Embalmer license
• Must have knowledge and hands-on experience operating a Hydro Aspiration Machine
• Must have completed at least two (2) years of college education
• Must have good customer service and interpersonal skills, particularly when dealing with bereaved families
• Must be flexible and willing to work on a rotating schedule

Nice to have:

• At least one (1) year of experience as a Mortician/Embalmer

Important Details

• Schedule: 6 days per week, 8 hours per day, with a rotating schedule and no fixed working hours
• Work setup: Stay-in or stay-out
• Stay-in Accommodation: A separate room will be provided; employees are responsible for their own food expenses
