Level 4 Cardiac Surgical Tech – Contract
Location: New York 14642
Pay: $2000 per week for 36 hours, $2500 per week for 48 hours
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Requirements:
- Active New York Surgical Technologist license (required)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- NBSTSA Certification OR 10 years of Surgical Technologist experience
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in a cardiac operating room (required)
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Level 1 trauma OR experience preferred
Summary:
- Prepares and manages instruments, equipment, and supplies for cardiac surgical procedures
- Assists the surgical team in the scrub role during operations
- Maintains sterile technique, performs surgical counts, and ensures safe handling of sharps
- Supports room turnover and handles materials under RN direction
- Collaborates with the multidisciplinary OR team across complex cardiac cases (CABG, TAVI, VAD, ECMO, transplants)
