Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:

First, independently and effectively conduct internal investigations on potential legal and compliance issues. Such work would include conducting interviews, reviewing documents, open-source research and prepare the requisite work product in a clear, concise and robust manner.

Second, provide practical and sound legal advice to internal stakeholders on responding to government inquiries & investigations and litigation matters principally in China.

Third, provide practical and sound legal advice to internal stakeholders (such our healthcare compliance. and commercial teams) concerning Chinese anti-unfair competition, corruption, improper promotion etc laws in the life sciences sector, and Chinese laws which impact the conduct of government related litigation and corporate internal investigations.

Fourth, the attorney will also be expected to work with internal stakeholders to support compliance training efforts and generally facilitate the prompt identification, escalation and investigation of the relevant compliance and legal issues to the corporate Triage Committee based in New Brunswick.
Requirements:
- A US Juris Doctor (JD) or Common Law equivalent (LLB)
- A Chinese Law Degree from a reputable university
- At least 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Strong Chinese and English oral and written communication skills
- Significant Experience conducting internal investigations in China for life sciences companies at a reputable US law firm or equivalent
- Collaborative team player
- Strong demonstrable analytical skills
