We are seeking a Temporary Legal Counsel to provide legal support to the business during a defined period. Responsible for reviewing and drafting commercial agreements, providing legal advice to stakeholders, managing legal risks, and supporting compliance-related activities. This role requires a practical, business-oriented professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to business stakeholders on a wide range of commercial and operational matters.
- Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks.
- Support business teams in decision-making while ensuring legal compliance.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, including procurement agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), vendor and supplier contracts, and employment-related agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support compliance initiatives and internal policies.
- Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.
- Assist with internal investigations, audits, and compliance reviews as needed.
- Support dispute resolution matters and coordinate with external counsel when required.
- Partner with HR, Procurement, Finance, Operations, and other business functions.
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) or equivalent.
- Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a combination of law firm and in-house experience.
- Strong experience in commercial contracts and corporate legal matters.
- Experience supporting multinational organizations is an advantage.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
