  • Responsible to provide legal advice and support to the Tires sector in Southeast Asia, Japan, and Korea.

  • Responsible to identify and analyze legal risks.

  • Consistently monitors changes in legislation applicable to supported legal entities and timely inform affected stakeholders explaining how the changes may affect the business.

  • Support the development and implementation of solutions for risk avoidance or limitation.

  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (customers, suppliers, public authorities etc.).

  • Taking part and advising in various projects in multiple legal areas with multiple stakeholders.

  • Responsible to draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents.

  • Use available contract management/approval tools.

  • Conduct workshops and training for assigned stakeholders.

  • Responsible to assist and support stakeholders in claim management, both in and out of court.

  • Cooperates with other central functions and departments within Continental.

  • Coordinates with external law firms.

  • Regularly records and tracks all legal matters in applicable IT system(s) and provide an overview when required.

  • Responsible to uphold the confidentiality of information received and respects internal regulations/processes.

  • Degree in Law (LLB)

  • Qualified to practice in Malaysia

  • At least 3 years post qualification experience working as an in-house counsel or with a law firm

  • Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry will be a plus
