Legal Assistant

About This Role

Joining a dynamic and fast-paced creditor's rights law firm, the Legal Assistant will support the legal team by preparing pleadings and court documents, managing scheduling and filing tasks, and handling various administrative duties. This role also involves professional interaction with courts by phone, requiring a calm and courteous demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents and pleadings
• File documents with courts and manage case schedules
• Perform general administrative support duties
• Professionally communicate with courts by phone as needed

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Professional, courteous phone presence
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in typing, data entry, and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Important Details

• Schedule: 20 to 40 hours per week, flexible based on candidate availability; hours must be worked between Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
