Legal Assistant

About This Role

This Assistant Case Manager role supports a legal team dedicated to advocating for injured workers' rights. The position involves performing administrative tasks, gathering information, and maintaining case records, suiting a candidate with experience in legal or customer service settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform various administrative tasks to support the legal team, including contacting insurance companies, medical centers, and clients to gather essential information
• Provide accurate case updates and prepare reports to keep legal teams informed
• Schedule and coordinate medical and legal appointments for clients, ensuring timely follow-ups
• Maintain organized records of case progress and communications
• Assist with additional administrative tasks as needed to enhance the efficiency of the legal team

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in legal settings, back-office operations, or remote customer service
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking) with near-native proficiency
• Requires a reliable high-speed internet connection and a dependable computer
• Availability to work California hours and holidays (U.S. holidays are observed as paid time off, but Colombian holidays will be working days)
