About the role
Role & responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, reviewing, negotiating agreements, amendments, other legal documents including agreements for HR, procurement, relating to engineering, telecom, IT sector, lease agreements and other agreements with a good understanding of risks.
- Working in close co-ordination with legal, technical, HR, Admin, Finance, Procurement and other departments, external Legal Counsels.
- To examine and summarise customer MSA, NDA, MOU, End User Licensing Agreement, Subcontractor/Vendor Agreement, RFP etc. at the global level.
- Be conversant with GDPR, global data privacy laws and regulations.
- Handle litigation matters as and when the need arises.
- Advising and assist key departments on all contractual matters and be a strategic advisor to the business.
- To draft alternative clauses where necessary.
- To negotiate with vendors, customers agreements in conjunction with front end/sales teams.
- Regular training of user teams on executed contracts, contract compliance.
- In depth detailed research on various legal issues/projects.
- Update contract database/Legal Repository.
- Manage team under him/her ~ 2 resources to manage above tasks.
- Handling general administrative duties.
- Abreast with technology and technology applications in legal field.
Preferred candidate profile
- Degree in Law from a renowned law school plus 4 plus years post qualification experience in international contract/commercial law and contract management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and drafting skills.
- Experience in dealing with external customers/clients.
- Ability to manage and prioritize heavy and variable workload and manage team.
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to read contracts quickly and determine salient points.
- Enthusiastic and hard-working.
- Good negotiation skills to deal with internal departments and for future external contact.
- Prior experience in engineering services, telecom or IT sector.
- Experience in global or multicultural company
- Ability to handle a team.
