About This Role

This academic role involves delivering high-quality teaching and contributing to curriculum development within the Electrical Engineering Department. The successful candidate will also provide academic advising and support departmental service activities, engaging in professional development and potentially collaborative research. Preference is given to candidates with teaching expertise in control systems, electronics, electromagnetics, or networks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in core and specialized areas of Electrical Engineering (such as power systems, electronics, control systems, communications, circuits, or renewable energy)
• Prepare course materials, assignments, and examinations in line with departmental standards
• Incorporate modern teaching methods, technology, and industry-relevant practices into instruction
• Contribute to the design, review, and continuous improvement of undergraduate and/or graduate programs
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate student projects, capstones, and internships
• Provide academic advising, guidance, and support to students
• Participate in departmental, college, and university committees
• Contribute to outreach, accreditation, and quality assurance processes
• Support departmental initiatives, such as labs, student clubs, and industry collaboration
• Engage in applied research, scholarly activities, or professional practice (depending on departmental expectations)
• Foster industry and community partnerships

Requirements

For applicants applying for a senior lecturer position, they must have:

• An earned full-time PhD degree from a reputable university in the relevant field
• Certificate equivalency if the certificate obtained from outside the Kingdom

For applicants applying for a lecturer position, they must have:

• An earned full-time master -s degree from a reputable university in the relevant field
• Certificate equivalency if the certificate obtained from outside the Kingdom
• Fluent in English as it is the medium of instruction in the University
