About the role

Lecturer/ Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor

We are looking for Lecturer/ Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor for the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Business & Management, Faculty of Engineering & Computer Technology, & Faculty of Allied Health Professions.

1) Faculty of Medicine

Specializations:

  • Pre-Clinical Anatomy/ Physiology/ Pathology/ Microbiology

  • Clinical Surgery/ O&G/ Orthopaedics/ Psychiatry/ Family Medicine/ Emergency/ Community Medicine

Requirement: Minimum of Master’s degree in the related specialization.

  • Veterinary Science Requirement: Masters or Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Veterinary Sciences.

2) Faculty of Pharmacy

Specializations:

Clinical Pharmacy/ Pharmacy Practice/ Cosmetic Sciences/ Industrial Pharmacy/ Pharmacology/ Pharmaceutics

Requirement: Minimum of Master’s degree in the related specialization. First priority for candidates with PhD. Candidate must be registered with Pharmacy Board Malaysia. For clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice: At least 2 years of working experience in teaching or as pharmacist. For industrial pharmaceutical sciences and cosmetic sciences: At least 4 years of working experience in pharmaceutical or cosmeceutical Industries.

3) Faculty of Dentistry

Specializations:

  • Pre-Clinical Anatomy

  • Clinical Oral Pathology/ Restorative Dentistry/ Periodontics/ Orthodontics

Requirement: Minimum of Master’s degree in the related specialization.

4) Faculty of Business & Management

Specializations:

Instructional Design/ Data Analytics / Marketing / Business Management / Finance / Accounting with professional accounting qualification such as ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA or CPA

Requirement: PhD/ Master’s degree in a related field. Strong interest and expertise in teaching research and be involved in scholarly articles. Candidates without a PhD degree or currently pursuing but with good teaching, research and publication records can be considered.

  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering Requirement: Professional Engineer (Ir.) registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).

  • Software Engineering/ Multimedia Technology/ Computer Science Requirement: Minimum of Master’s degree in the related specialization. Relevant teaching/research expertise aligned to programme needs.   • Nursing Requirement: Possess of Master in Nursing/PhD Nursing, with post basic specialization in critical care/ICU, renal, anesthesia and perioperative nursing. For Clinical Instructor, minimum of Bachelor in Nursing with minimum 5 years clinical experience.

  • Physiotherapy Requirement: Master with specialization in Musculo-Skeletal physiotherapy/PhD in physiotherapy with minimum 5 years teaching experience. For Clinical Instructor, minimum of Bachelor of Physiotherapy with minimum 3 years clinical experience.

7) University Health Clinic

Specializations:

  • Medical Officer (Full Time) Requirement: MBBS or an equivalent recognized medical degree. Provide basic medical care and first aid. Support clinic operations. Shift work, weekend, and public holiday duties may be required depending on the nature of the role. On-call responsibilities may apply for designated positions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, tutorials, and clinical/practical teaching as assigned
  • Develop and review curriculum in line with MQA/MOHE requirements
  • Conduct research and publish in reputable journals
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Participate in academic administration and committees
  • Engage in community service and industry collaboration

Academic Requirements (General Guide)

  • Lecturer: Master’s degree with teaching capability
  • Assistant Professor: PhD with teaching and research experience
  • Associate Professor: Strong publication record and supervision experience
  • Professor: Significant academic leadership and research achievements
