Leasing Manager

About This Role

Leading leasing operations at a large, fast-paced apartment community is the core of this role, which involves driving occupancy, managing the leasing team, and delivering excellent customer service. This position supports the overall success of the property through strong leasing performance and resident retention, and suits an organized, energetic, and sales-driven individual experienced in multifamily property management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily leasing operations for a 500-unit apartment community
• Lead, train, coach, and schedule leasing staff
• Ensure leasing goals, occupancy targets, and renewal objectives are met
• Conduct tours and assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process
• Monitor traffic, leasing activity, market trends, and competitor pricing
• Maintain strong resident relations and assist with retention initiatives
• Review lease files and ensure compliance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations
• Coordinate marketing efforts, outreach, resident events, and online reputation management
• Collaborate with maintenance and property management teams to ensure apartment readiness and smooth move-ins
• Assist with reporting, lease audits, renewals, and administrative tasks as needed
• Maintain a professional and welcoming leasing office environment

Requirements

• 2+ years of multifamily leasing experience
• Previous leasing management or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices
• Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• Weekend availability required
