Leasing Consultant

About This Role

The Leasing Consultant focuses on leasing apartments at the highest effective rent levels possible, while maintaining a strong customer service philosophy. This role supports the community's goal to effectively and efficiently lease the property, promoting excellence in resident customer service.

Responsibilities

• Show apartments
• Provide information to prospects via telephone and personal visits
• Accurately quote prices
• Follow up on all prospects
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the immediate market and all comparable properties
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the surrounding community
• Ensure all necessary application paperwork is obtained from prospects
• Provide superior customer service
• Collect money (deposits, rents, etc.)
• Prepare and review leases for accuracy
• Maintain effective and aggressive lease renewal program
• Inspect apartments for readiness
• Adhere to and properly implement all Fortis Properties Management policies and procedures
• Distribute move-in packages
• Perform other duties as delegated
• Adhere to Fair Housing policies and procedures
• Adhere to ADA policies and procedures

Requirements

• Prior leasing/sales experience is preferred
• Proficiency in social media preferred
• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, Real Page, MRI, App Folio)
• Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Ability to successfully interact with people
• Organizational skills
• Computer literate
• Strong communication skills both orally and written
• Good decision-making ability
• Proficient sales skills
• Professional image
