Leasing Agent

About This Role

This role is for a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent who will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, creating a positive leasing experience from initial inquiry through move-in. The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable handling administrative tasks, financial transactions, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome prospective tenants and provide knowledgeable information about available properties, amenities, pricing, and community features
• Conduct professional and engaging property tours while answering questions about lease terms, policies, and rental requirements
• Respond to prospective tenant inquiries and follow up with leads to help maximize occupancy
• Process rental applications, verify references, and coordinate required background and screening checks
• Collect security deposits, rent payments, and other applicable fees in accordance with company policies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of leasing activity, applications, payments, and tenant communications
• Assist residents with questions and concerns, addressing issues promptly and professionally to support resident satisfaction and retention
• Perform other leasing and administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Comfortable working with numbers and performing basic calculations related to rent, deposits, and financial transactions
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, personable, and confident when interacting with prospective and current residents
• Previous leasing, property management, real estate, sales, or customer service experience is an asset
