About the role

Traditional schools often ask, "What should a six-year-old know?" At gt.school, we approach it differently: "What is this particular six-year-old capable of?"

Gifted students at gt.school don't wait for grade-level curriculum to arrive. They advance at their own pace, mastering multiple years of academic content via AI-powered platforms while dedicating the remainder of their day to cultivating confidence, communication skills, resilience, and leadership that align with their intellectual capabilities. Your function isn't to deliver conventional lessons. It's to guide exceptional young learners in forming the habits and character traits that allow remarkable talent to thrive.

You'll oversee a single K-3 cohort band—Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Approximately half your time will be dedicated to facilitating dynamic workshops focused on life competencies: public speaking, concentration, receiving feedback, and leadership development. The remaining time involves coaching students individually and in small groups, leveraging learning analytics to ensure each child advances toward challenging weekly objectives. Many of these students wouldn't yet be labeled gifted in conventional settings. They simply require an environment that refuses to limit their potential.

Families select gt.school not because their children require remediation. They choose us because their children demand greater intellectual stretch. They seek adults who exemplify curiosity, discipline, and genuine passion for learning. This is why every coach at gt.school possesses a demonstrated track record of exceptional academic accomplishment. Your achievements aren't merely credentials—they're evidence that you've personally experienced the rewards of pursuing excellence and can authentically inspire children to do likewise.

This is a full-time, on-site position at gt.school's Georgetown, Texas campus, located just outside Austin. We recruit across the nation, so job boards may list this role in adjacent cities without campuses. Relocation support is provided for outstanding candidates.

If guiding gifted five- to nine-year-olds to accomplish years of academic progress while simultaneously building the confidence and character to match their abilities appeals to you, we're eager to connect.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitate dynamic life-skills workshops designed to cultivate communication, focus, leadership, resilience, and other enduring competencies in gifted K-3 students through active engagement rather than passive instruction.
  • Provide one-on-one and small-group coaching, utilizing Coachbot analytics, established motivation frameworks, and meaningful relationships to ensure continuous progress toward ambitious weekly learning targets.
  • Evaluate life-skill proficiency using gt.school's Test2Pass system, supporting students until they exhibit authentic understanding and reliable application.
  • Tailor your coaching approach to match your cohort's developmental stage, blending creativity and energy with exceptionally rigorous expectations for young learners' capabilities.
  • Cultivate relationships that inspire gifted students to welcome challenging tasks, persevere through obstacles, and develop character commensurate with their intellectual gifts.

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Teaching academic content from the front of the classroom. Core academic subjects are learned through adaptive, AI-driven software.
  • Constraining gifted students by conventional grade-level benchmarks.
  • Creating curriculum materials from the ground up. You'll customize proven frameworks rather than design lessons from nothing.
  • Simply monitoring students during independent work time. Your contribution centers on coaching, motivating, and nurturing each child's development.
  • Reducing expectations when students face difficult obstacles. You'll support students in meeting ambitious goals rather than lowering standards.

Learning Facilitator Key Responsibilities Cultivate gifted K-3 students who combine remarkable academic advancement with the confidence, character, and life competencies necessary for achieving at the highest levels.

  • Bachelor's degree accompanied by a personal history of exceptional academic achievement.
  • Demonstrated record of outstanding academic performance, evidenced through achievements such as acceptance to a highly selective university, exceptional grades, prestigious academic honors, advanced coursework, competitive scholarships, academic competitions, or equivalent accomplishments.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with children ages 4-9 in teaching, coaching, tutoring, camps, youth programs, or comparable settings.
  • A concrete example of successfully motivating a young child to reach a challenging objective, detailing the goal, your methodology, and the result.
  • Comfort leveraging AI-powered learning tools while dedicating your primary effort to coaching, motivation, and life-skill cultivation.
  • Capacity to blend warmth with steadfast expectations for all students.
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site at the Georgetown, Texas location.
