About the role
WSP in the Middle East is seeking a highly experienced Principal Structural Engineer (Airports) to join our team in Saudi Arabia.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and delivery of major airport and aviation infrastructure projects across the Kingdom. We are looking for a structural engineering professional with 15+ years of experience and a proven track record in the design and delivery of large-scale airport terminals, aviation facilities, and associated infrastructure projects.

Lead the structural design and delivery of major airport and aviation infrastructure projects across all project stages.

Provide technical leadership for the design of airport terminals, concourses, support facilities, landside and airside structures.

Manage multidisciplinary design coordination and interface with internal and external stakeholders.

Oversee the preparation and review of structural calculations, reports, specifications, and design documentation.

Ensure compliance with project requirements, relevant codes, international standards, and quality management procedures.

Support project planning, resource allocation, and programme delivery to achieve project objectives.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate structural engineers.

Participate in design reviews, value engineering exercises, and technical workshops.

Work closely with project directors and discipline leaders to ensure successful project delivery.

Support the preparation of technical proposals, bids, and client presentations where required.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Master's degree preferred.

15+ years of structural engineering experience, with significant involvement in airport and aviation infrastructure projects.

Proven experience in the design and delivery of airport terminals, aviation facilities, and associated infrastructure projects.

Demonstrated experience leading structural engineering teams on large multidisciplinary projects.

Strong knowledge of international structural design codes and standards.

Experience working within a leading engineering consultancy environment.

Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation would be advantageous.

Middle East project experience would be beneficial.
