About the role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (LSE) to lead the development and modernization of large-scale software applications. Responsibilities Include
- Designing changes to new and existing applications (35%)
- Developing and debugging software (30%)
- Leading projects, estimating costs, and planning tasks (20%)
- Mentoring junior team members (10%)
- Providing 24/7 support for production applications (5%)
Required Skills And Experience
- Expertise in designing, building, and deploying cloud applications (Azure, GCP) with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in full-stack development using Java, Spring Boot, and modern front-end frameworks (React.js, Vue.js)
- Experience with real-time data pipelines (Kafka), CI/CD pipelines, and database optimization (PostgreSQL, SQL/NoSQL)
- Knowledge of cloud provisioning with Terraform, analytics tools (Big Query, GCS, Looker)
- Strong communication, leadership, and team mentoring skills
- Experience working with offshore teams and understanding retail supply chain processes is a plus
Qualifications
- 7+ years of software development experience
- 6+ years building web applications and REST APIs
- 4+ years cloud experience (Azure/GCP)
- 3+ years with relational databases
- Bachelor's or Master's in computer science or related field
