Lead Azure Cloud Engineering for Next-Generation Medical Technology

Job Overview

- Salary: PHP 200,000 - PHP 300,000 + up to PHP 80,000 Sign-on bonus

The Qualifications We Seek
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 5 years of software development experience, including 3+ years of technical leadership and 2+ years in medical device, healthcare, or other regulated software environments
- Proven experience developing large-scale, cloud-native software systems
- Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying applications on Microsoft Azure
- Azure or Microsoft certification
Leadership & Development
- At least 3 years of experience leading software development teams, including remote or offshore teams
- Strong hands-on software development, technical leadership, code review, and mentoring experience
- Experience managing complex distributed projects and establishing technical standards, development processes, and engineering best practices
Essential Technical Skills
- Expert-level proficiency in C#/.NET (5+ years), ASP.NET Core, and Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern web application development
- Experience with Angular, Aurelia, or similar SPA frameworks
- Experience with iOS/Android mobile application development, including Cordova or Capacitor
- Proficiency in Entity Framework, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Azure Blob Storage
- Hands-on experience building and managing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, including Octopus Deploy and GitLab
- Experience with Azure AD B2C, Application Insights, Azure Front Door, event-driven systems, and Celigo
Medical Device & Compliance
- Experience applying IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485 standards to regulated software development
- Knowledge of FDA software guidance, validation protocols, HIPAA, GDPR, healthcare data privacy, software risk management, safety analysis, design controls, and configuration management
Highly Desirable
- Experience transitioning software platforms from external development providers to internal teams
- Experience in the healthcare or medical device industry, particularly with sleep technology, wearable, diagnostic, or connected medical devices
- Experience establishing or scaling offshore software development teams
- Experience supporting FDA, TGA, or CE Mark regulatory submissions
- Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for connected medical devices
Your Daily Tasks
Software Development & Technical Leadership
- Lead hands-on software development and implementation
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, IT, Marketing, R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and other business functions
- Own code quality, development standards, and technical implementation
- Lead code reviews, technical design sessions, and software development best practices
- Implement new features and system integrations
- Drive technical problem-solving and system optimization
- Lead development across distributed software engineering teams
- Manage sprint planning, task allocation, and delivery coordination
- Mentor and guide software engineers
- Support developer recruitment and technical assessments
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and technical capability development
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration across distributed teams
Software Architecture & Delivery
- Execute software development, feature enhancements, and system improvements
- Implement architectural decisions and technical specifications
- Manage technical debt and code refactoring
- Ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues
- Coordinate system deployments and release management
Quality, Compliance & Risk
- Support regulatory submissions and audit activities through technical documentation
- Maintain software risk assessments and safety controls
- Execute validation protocols and testing procedures
- Ensure compliance with code quality standards and software development processes
Operations & Platform Reliability
- Ensure 24/7 global system reliability and availability
- Lead incident response and problem resolution
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and operational procedures
- Coordinate with global customer support teams
- Manage system deployments with the DevOps team and coordinate release activities
- Oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning
