About the role
Role Overview The Lead Sales Associate supports store operations with a customer-first approach, assisting customers, operating cash registers, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness. They act in a leadership capacity in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, helping to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service and assist with merchandise
- Operate cash registers, handle transactions, and process payments
- Stock, restock, and organize merchandise according to planograms
- Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with opening and closing the store and perform duties of managers when needed
Qualifications & Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of safety policies and merchandise presentation
- Mathematical proficiency and cash handling experience
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds, standing, bending, and climbing
Experience & Working Conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of supervisory or related experience preferred
- Fast-paced environment with frequent movement, lifting, and exposure to outside weather conditions
- Requires own transportation for banking and store visits
