About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.
This role will lead quality assurance efforts across assigned technology initiatives, ensuring testing strategies are thorough, scalable, and aligned with delivery goals. You will serve as a key partner to engineering and product teams, helping translate requirements into clear, testable plans that support reliable outcomes. The position also provides mentorship to QA engineers and SDETs while driving stronger automation practices and continuous improvement across the testing function.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers and SDETs
- Act as the primary QA contact for assigned projects and ensure team alignment
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure clear, testable requirements
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies aligned with project goals
- Oversee both manual and automated testing execution across various areas
- Drive the adoption of test automation and maintain automation frameworks
- Analyze quality metrics and perform root cause analysis for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- 6 years of experience in SDET or automation-focused roles
- Strong hands-on experience in manual and automated testing
- Deep understanding of test automation frameworks and methodologies
- Experience with API testing, including RESTful and SOAP services
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools
