About the role
- Onsite position in Austin, TX — relocation assistance provided
- Health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one
What if intentional play could drive quantifiable progress across every developmental domain?
Alpha's PreK model diverges sharply from traditional frameworks. We combine play-based curriculum architecture with live developmental tracking — no scripted lessons, no box-ticking compliance. You will architect adaptive learning experiences across all readiness domains, lead and develop a team of Guides to execute them with both precision and warmth, and monitor milestone attainment for every child in your cohort.
This is a working leadership position. Expect to dedicate approximately one-third of your time inside classrooms — demonstrating facilitation techniques, observing instructional moments, and conducting calibration sessions. The balance of your role involves curriculum design, coaching Guides toward concrete and measurable outcomes, and delivering evidence-informed progress updates to families. The results will be tangible: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, Guides elevating their performance metrics weekly, and families championing the program.
Develop the team. Architect the learning. Apply today.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct one-on-one and small-group coaching for PreK Guides, demonstrating effective techniques and acknowledging quantifiable progress
- Architect and deliver play-based learning experiences that integrate SEL, literacy, numeracy, and motor development, serving as the exemplar for the team
- Audit and calibrate Guide documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and clarity, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain visibility into milestone tracking
- Draft family communications and lead team alignment meetings that synchronize efforts and reinforce collective commitments to campus PreK readiness objectives
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Executing fixed lesson plans or compliance-focused procedures — you will create flexible, play-based frameworks informed by live developmental data
- Delivering a static curriculum mandated from leadership — you have ownership over quarterly and weekly instructional planning
- Operating independently without structured feedback — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews are embedded throughout each week
- Overseeing K-12 learners on digital platforms — this position is entirely devoted to early childhood education with in-person, classroom-based engagement
Lead Preschool Teacher Key Responsibilities Lead campus-wide PreK readiness results by coaching Guides, maintaining program fidelity, and cultivating joyful, evidence-informed classroom environments.

- Commitment to working onsite at the Alpha Austin campus, with relocation assistance available as needed
