Duties
· Identify unusual situations and/or conditions to determine required action for resolving incidents.
· Use probable cause requirements to conduct investigations (e.g. preliminary and non-criminal).
· Assign work to unit/team employees based on priorities and consideration of the difficulty of assignment according to the capability of the employee.
· Review assigned reports ensuring accuracy of paperwork submitted.
· Provide technical advice to ensure compliance with the enforcement of laws, rules, and/or regulations.
· Arrange for training of unit/team members in methods/techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects.
· Instruct field training officers, trainees or police officers in specific police officer tasks and techniques.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of a body of laws and regulations; assisting in the planning and directing of watch activities, preparing absentee reports and watch schedules/lists; deploying police officers on motorized, bicycle, or walking patrols; directing police officers at fixed posts; controlling vehicle and personnel access to the installation; instructing field training officers; monitoring and maintaining criminal activity statistics; receives reports, maintains desk journals and ensures accuracy of paperwork submitted.
Selectee must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Selectee must successfully complete a designated USMC Police Officers Course of Instruction and meet all certification requirements, to include weapons certifications, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), DoD and Joint Training Regulations, etc. Training may be conducted at a regional training facility.
Selectee may be required to attend the Inland Boat Operator Training Program or similar course
