Duties
As a Lead Logistics Management Specialist, NH-0346-03 you will deliver life cycle logistics products, processes and personnel to acquire and support war-winning capabilities. Other duties include:

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring operations comply with legal and Regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.

Participates in projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Identifies the need for special projects and initiates milestones and goals.

Represents the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Contributes to and maintains effective working relationships with management levels and all coordinating agencies.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this position that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically, we would find this experience in work within a field that is closely related. To be creditable, the specialized experience must have been equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02), OR Grade Level GS-11 pay band or equivalent. Specialized experience is described as helping to applying a broad range of logistics support disciplines, concepts, principles, and practices; providing logistics planning and requirements determination; managing acquisition logistics support activities.
OR EDUCATION SUBSTITUTION NH-02: Youhave successfully completed education 4-years above high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite. This education has been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE NH-02: You have a combination of successfully completed post high school education and general experience as described above. NOTE: you must submit a copy of your unofficial transcripts with your application if using education as a substitution of experience.
Federal Time-In-Grade (TIG) Requirement for Acq Demo (NH), Positions: Applicants must have served at least 52 weeks at the GS-11 or higher grade or pay band NH-02 (or equivalent in an alternate pay system) within the Federal Civil Service to be considered for referral. TIG applies if you are in a current GS/NH position or held a GS/NH position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of the applicable principles, concepts, policies, and laws; functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve problems; and all aspects of support.
- Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct, mentor, motivate and appraise the staff of a small to medium sized organization.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
- Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid work on the same basis as for paid experience. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. To receive credit for such experience you must indicate clearly the nature of the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the number of hours per week spent in such employment.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
