Role Purpose:
1 - Laboratory Operations & Technical Execution
- Perform chemical analyses using wet chemistry techniques and analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, particle size analyzer, etc.).
- Ensure all testing is completed accurately and within timelines, in accordance with validated methods and procedures.
- Conduct instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting, prioritizing based on operational needs.
- Support end-to-end laboratory operations, including sample receipt, preparation, labeling, storage, and waste management.
- Interpret analytical results and provide recommendations on appropriate follow-up actions.
- Participate in analytical method transfer activities and independently resolve method-related issues.
2 - Quality Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and improve laboratory processes to strengthen GMP compliance.
- Review test results and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
- Update SOPs, test methods, and quality procedures.
- Raise laboratory investigations (e.g., OOS, deviations, equipment failures), perform root cause analysis, and implement CAPA.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with relevant functions to resolve deviations effectively.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure ongoing effort to improve operation efficiency and compliance
3 - Training, Safety & Team Development
- Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support to enhance team competency.
- Develop and implement OJT programs, Job Safety Assessments (JSAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs).
- Deliver structured onboarding and hands-on training for new hires.
- Design and conduct technical training sessions; develop and maintain training materials.
- Promote a strong safety culture by actively participating in EHS initiatives and leading related investigations.
- Support 5S initiatives and maintain high standards of housekeeping within the laboratory.
4 - QC Operational Management
- Stand in as QC Supervisor in their absence, ensuring continuity of laboratory operations.
- Prioritize and assign work activities based on laboratory demand and resource availability.
- Monitor laboratory status and collaborate with cross-functional teams to prevent manufacturing disruptions.
- Plan and coordinate laboratory workflow in alignment with QC sampling and testing schedules.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors to support equipment installation, validation, servicing, and external testing.
- Demonstrate strong commitment, serving as a role model and motivating team members to achieve operational excellence.
5 - Accountability and Key Performance Indicators
- Analytical testing

Qualification
Diploma in Science (preferably Chemical Process Technology) or equivalent.
Skills and Experience
This role requires comprehensive knowledge of cGMP guidelines and relevant regulatory requirements, along with hands-on experience in laboratory systems and instruments such as LIMS, HPLC, GC, and other analytical equipment. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated leadership and customer service orientation, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively, are important for cross-functional collaboration. The ability to work well in a team environment and contribute positively to group objectives is also a key requirement.
Additional qualifications include :
Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
