About This Role
Leading and overseeing residential HVAC installations on custom home construction projects is the main focus of this role. The position suits an experienced HVAC installer ready to manage the technical aspects of the job, keep projects organized and efficient, and lead a crew without extensive travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee residential HVAC installations, primarily on new custom home construction projects
- Coordinate and supervise HVAC installers, ensuring quality workmanship and efficient jobsite operations
- Read and interpret construction blueprints, HVAC layouts, specifications, and mechanical plans
- Install and oversee the installation of ductwork, furnaces, air conditioning systems, heat pumps, ventilation equipment, and related components
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades to keep installations running smoothly
- Identify and troubleshoot HVAC installation issues and provide practical solutions
- Ensure installations meet applicable building codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards
- Maintain an organized, professional, and safe working environment
- Help train and mentor less-experienced team members
- Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure work is completed correctly and on time
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with residential HVAC installation, preferably in new home construction
- Previous leadership, foreman, or lead installer experience, or the skills and ambition to step into that role
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and HVAC specifications
- Knowledge of residential heating, cooling, ventilation, ductwork, and mechanical systems
- Experience troubleshooting installation and equipment issues
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage projects and crews effectively
- Understanding of applicable HVAC codes, safety requirements, and installation best practices
- Valid driver's license
- EPA Section 608 certification, where required for assigned refrigerant work
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and pride in quality craftsmanship
- Communicates well and works effectively with others
