Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
- Define and refine system requirements, specifications, and architecture, collaborating closely with product management, clinical, software, hardware, and regulatory teams.
- Drive the decomposition of system requirements into sub-system and component specifications, ensuring traceability and comprehensive coverage.
- Oversee and guide the system integration, verification, and validation processes, including test plan development, execution, and defect resolution.
- Conduct technical reviews and assessments of design documents, test reports, and other project deliverables to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the product development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering or product development.
- Proven track record of successfully leading the development and launch of complex medical devices or healthcare systems.
- Strong understanding of system engineering principles and methodologies (e.g., V-model, requirements management, risk analysis).
- Expertise in defining system architectures, interfaces, and protocols.
- Experience with medical device regulations (e.g., FDA, CE, NMPA) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485).
- Proficiency in requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion) and/or system modeling tools (e.g., SysML, UML).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
