Lead Engineer, Azure & Entra ID Platforms

Step into a day leading our Microsoft cloud foundation

Each morning, you’ll sync with a small team of Azure, Entra ID, and cloud identity engineers—setting priorities, unblocking work, and shaping standards. By midday, you may partner with our M365/Azure Principal Architect to translate architectural direction into actionable implementation plans. In the afternoon, you could be tuning Azure policy frameworks, reviewing RBAC models, optimizing cost and performance, or validating Conditional Access changes before they reach production. Documentation and runbook improvements bookend your day to raise operational maturity across our global environment.

What you’ll lead

• Cloud Engineering Leadership
  • Coach and develop Azure, Entra ID, and cloud identity engineers.
  • Own team workload, prioritization, performance expectations, and delivery execution.
  • Instill a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Azure Platform Engineering
  • Govern Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and landing zone topologies.
  • Standardize RBAC, policy frameworks, automation, and monitoring.
  • Drive cost controls, security posture hardening, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure deployments align with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy.
• Microsoft Entra ID & Hybrid Identity
  • Lead directory services engineering, identity lifecycle, Conditional Access, authentication, and privileged identity governance.
  • Maintain resilient hybrid identity: synchronization and federation.
  • Advance identity modernization and continuous improvement roadmaps.
• Microsoft 365 Tenant Governance
  • Administer enterprise tenant configuration: global settings, compliance, admin roles, and licensing enablement.
  • Uphold tenant-wide policies, security baselines, and configuration standards.
• Governance, Security, and Compliance
  • Enforce cloud governance across Azure, M365 administration, and Entra ID.
  • Meet cybersecurity standards, regulatory controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain documentation, SOPs/runbooks, and architectural references.
• Automation & Reliability
  • Scale automation with PowerShell, Graph API, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
  • Establish repeatable engineering patterns and operational processes.
  • Elevate reliability via monitoring, alerting, and proactive remediation.

What you bring

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years engineering in Azure, Entra ID, or enterprise cloud identity.
• 1–2+ years in technical leadership or supervision.
• Deep experience in cloud governance and automation.
• Strong Azure platform engineering and governance expertise.
• Mastery of Entra ID (identity lifecycle, Conditional Access, authentication frameworks).
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph API, and cloud automation tooling.

Compensation

Estimated base salary range: $116,800–$146,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills. We are committed to transparency and equity in our people practices.

Proficiency: Bachelor’s Degree.
