Overview
The part-time Lead Custodian is responsible for ensuring PeoplsBank Arena meets or exceeds standards of cleanliness to the utmost in guest satisfaction before, during, and after all events. Lead Custodians must aid in the oversight of all custodial work.
This role pays an hourly rate of $17.12 - $18.61 (per CBA)
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until December 4, 2026
Responsibilities
- Assists with the training, coaching, and leading custodial staff.
- Follow detailed instructions relating to cleaning products & Safety Data Sheets.
- Performs light and heavy cleaning tasks, including, but not limited to, cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, disposing of garbage, etc.
- Restocks restrooms with supplies.
- Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
- Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner.
- All other tasks assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- 2 years of cleaning or event-related experience required.
- Prior lead or supervisory responsibilities preferred.
- Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment.
- Ability to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.
- Basic understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft systems.
- Must arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
- Ability to work morning, afternoon, and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.
- Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, to kneel, stoop, climb stairs, and reach above head, as well as perform repetitive motions in connection with cleaning tasks.
