About This Role

This lawyer position provides legal advice and assistance to the Bank's organizational units, supporting its business and operational activities. The role ensures compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks and safeguards the Bank's interests in contractual relationships, court proceedings, and other legal matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal assistance and advice regarding the Bank
• Draft, review, and negotiate banking and commercial contracts, as well as other legal documentation
• Prepare legal opinions and legal risk assessments to support decision-making processes of both business and non-business functions
• Represent the Bank in judicial and administrative proceedings and before public authorities and institutions, and prepare the relevant procedural documentation
• Manage and address complaints of a legal nature
• Provide legal support in lending processes, procurement activities, disposal of the Bank
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Bank

Requirements

• A minimum of five years of professional experience in law firms, audit/consulting firms, banking and financial institutions, public institutions, or government agencies involved in investment and development projects
• Sound knowledge of civil and administrative judicial procedures and practice
• In-depth knowledge of civil, commercial, banking, financial, property, obligations and contract law, as well as civil and administrative procedure
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, including the ability to prepare well-reasoned legal opinions
• Strong legal research skills and the ability to analyze case law and judicial practice
• Ability to identify, assess, and propose solutions to legal risks
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage a substantial workload within tight deadlines and in a dynamic environment
• High standards of professional integrity, ethics, discretion, and initiative
• University Degree in Law and a Master of Science in Law
• Excellent command of the English language

• Applicants must not be and must not have previously been subject to criminal proceedings resulting in a final criminal conviction

Nice to have:

• Experience in civil, commercial, banking, financial, and administrative law
• Experience with legislation and judicial practice relating to ownership rights over movable and immovable property; obligations and contracts; financial and banking services; digital services and products
• A GPA above 8.5 is preferred
• Knowledge of Italian
• An active Attorney-at-Law License
