About This Role
This role is for a lawyer to join the Group's Legal & Compliance team, handling daily legal tasks and assisting with various legal projects. The position involves ensuring compliance with regulations and managing legal documentation for an international consumer finance company.
Responsibilities
- Handle everyday legal tasks connected to the Group's activity
- Report to the Head of Legal & Compliance, provide assistance in various legal projects and matters
- Help to ensure compliance with different internal and external regulations
- Review partner's contracts
- Prepare and organize legal documentation
- Manage internal documentation
- Help in drafting and presenting replies to official inquiries by supervisory bodies in different jurisdictions where the Group operates
- Be involved in communication and overseeing engagement with local law firms, partners, and other relevant parties in target markets
- Work cross-functionally with other team members in Country Management, Marketing, Finance, IT, and others
Requirements
- Years of legal experience, ideally at an international law firm; in-house expertise is helpful, but not required
- Master's Degree in Law
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills
- Proactive approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, and anticipating issues
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong ability to communicate concisely with a wide variety of audiences, including key external stakeholders
- Fluent Estonian and English; additional language skills are beneficial
