Law Clerk

About This Role

This law clerk role is an integral part of a litigation team at a plaintiff-side employment law firm. You will work directly with attorneys on active employment cases, taking ownership of a wide range of tasks from legal research and drafting to client communication and litigation support.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on employment law, civil procedure, and litigation strategy
• Draft complaints, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, demand letters, and settlement agreements
• Prepare exhibits, chronologies, witness outlines, and trial materials
• Review and summarize depositions, employment records, personnel files, and medical records
• Assist with depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court staff
• Manage discovery, document production, and case files
• Attend strategy meetings and contribute to litigation planning
• Track deadlines and help manage active litigation matters
• Support attorneys with any legal or operational task necessary to move cases forward

Requirements

• Current law student (2L or 3L) or recent law school graduate awaiting bar results
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational ability
• Comfortable managing multiple matters simultaneously
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who enjoys taking ownership and solving problems
• Interest in plaintiff-side employment litigation preferred
