About the role
Job Purpose or Objective(s):
As the laundry attendant, you will maintain a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. You will report to the Laundry Facilities Manager or Director.
Primary Tasks:
- You will sort soiled laundry.
- Wash, dry, and fold laundry.
- Operate commercial laundry equipment including Chicago Iron, CBW and Towel Folder.
- You will separate torn, stained and unusable laundry for inspection.
- Clean equipment such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps in dryers.
- Monitor equipment and report any safety, noise, or breakage issues.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Work with different cleaning agents, tools, and equipment
- Complete training on bloodborne pathogens and perform required bloodborne pathogens procedures
- Work flexible hours including weekends
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time
