About This Role
This Laravel / PHP Developer role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing web applications using Laravel and Core PHP. The position is suitable for a developer with at least two years of experience who can work on real-world client projects within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Laravel and Core PHP
- Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code following development best practices
- Design and manage MySQL databases, including tables, relationships, queries, and database optimization
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
- Build and maintain front-end features using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Understand project requirements and implement new features and enhancements accordingly
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues and performance-related problems
- Perform testing and debugging to ensure application quality and smooth functionality
- Work with existing codebases and make improvements or modifications as required
- Handle basic deployment, hosting, and server-related tasks on platforms such as GoDaddy and Hostinger
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and project teams to deliver projects within timelines
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and development best practices
- Stay updated with the latest PHP, Laravel, and web development technologies
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Laravel/PHP development
- Strong knowledge of Laravel and Core PHP
- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX
- Strong knowledge of MySQL, relational databases, joins, queries, and database relationships
- Experience with REST APIs and third-party API integrations
- Good understanding of MVC architecture and Laravel development practices
- Familiarity with Git/version control systems
- Basic to good understanding of hosting and server environments, including GoDaddy and Hostinger
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
