Responsibilities
- Perform landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios and walkways
- Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure lush, healthy turf
- Operate hand tools and power equipment including trimmers, blowers, lawnmowers, and excavators for various landscaping tasks
- Conduct landscape maintenance activities such as pruning trees and shrubs, trimming hedges, and caring for garden beds
- Implement irrigation systems installation and repairs to ensure optimal watering of landscapes
- Provide snow plowing services during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe
- Assist with construction projects involving land grading, excavation, and hardscape installation to create durable outdoor features
- Perform routine landscape inspections to identify issues requiring tree care or horticultural attention
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment including power tools and excavators
- Proficiency in lawn care techniques such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and weed management
- Experience in landscape maintenance practices including pruning, tree trimming, and garden bed care
- Knowledge of horticulture principles to promote healthy plant growth and landscape aesthetics
- Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently in various outdoor environments
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting for effective water management
- Understanding of construction processes related to hardscape features like patios or retaining walls
- Ability to perform tree care tasks including planting, trimming, and disease management
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in different weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
