Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of tasks for landscape installation and maintenance
- Plant trees, shrubs, and perennials
- Renovate landscape beds
- Rake
- Grade
- Weed
- Deadhead formal gardens
- Clean landscapes for spring and fall clean-up
- Mow, trim, and edge to ensure well-groomed outdoor areas
- Dig and prepare soil for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Conduct groundskeeping activities such as mulching and fertilizing to promote healthy plant growth
- Irrigate landscapes efficiently to maintain optimal moisture levels in plants and lawns
- Trim trees and shrubs to enhance their appearance and health while ensuring safety around structures and pathways
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular checks and basic repairs
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to quality standards
Requirements
- At least one year of general labor experience
- Experience using power tools including bobcat, chainsaw, walk behind dingo, sod cutter, and bed edger
- Good work ethic
- Customer service skills
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the US
- Past employment references needed in the related field
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping
- Familiarity with hand tools and mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment
- A strong understanding of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscape design principles
