About This Role
This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses. This role involves sample intake, maintaining the retention room, preparing the lab, and assisting with testing procedures. Lab Techs ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with established quality and safety standards. Candidates must be comfortable working with cannabis/hemp products in a chemical and biological laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide general support to laboratory staff to help maintain efficient daily operations
- Assist with sample preparation for analysis
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment
- Perform routine maintenance and basic calibration of laboratory equipment
- Manage laboratory inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies and consumables
- Assist with documentation of laboratory procedures and accurate data entry
- Support the implementation and adherence to laboratory safety protocols
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of laboratory tests and experiments
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of laboratory waste in accordance with safety and environmental regulations
- Participate in training and stay current with laboratory best practices and procedures
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of laboratory operations and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively while also staying self-motivated
- Capable of learning new techniques, multitasking, maintaining accurate records, and following instructions
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and routine maintenance
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- 0–2 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a regulated environment
- Ability to reliably commute to Santa Ana, CA 92705
- Must be willing to relocate prior to start date if not currently local

Important Details
- Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday, 8-hour shift, morning shift, weekend availability required
- Shift Times: 12:30 AM - 9 AM or 3:30 AM - 12:00 PM; 4:30 AM - 1:00 PM; 6:30 AM - 3:00PM; 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM
