Laboratory Technician

About This Role

Performing technical laboratory work in a scientific research laboratory is the core of this full-time position. The role is based in the Cell Stress Biology department and involves gaining proficiency in various molecular biology, cell culture, and animal experimentation techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field; or
• Associate’s degree in a science-related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time laboratory experience; or
• High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time laboratory experience

Note: Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred qualifications:

• Hands-on laboratory research experience in a biomedical field
• Bachelor’s degree with successfully completed relevant academic coursework

Grant Funding

• This is a grant-funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables is required.
