Laboratory Clinical Scientist

About This Role

This Laboratory Clinical Scientist role involves performing clinical testing across various areas such as blood bank, chemistry, serology, hematology, and microbiology. The team values patient care and mutual support, seeking a dedicated individual to contribute to their mission.

Responsibilities

• Perform automated, semi-automated and manual procedures in the fields of bacteriology, parasitology, hematology, coagulation, serology, chemistry, urinalysis, immunology, and immunohematology, according to established procedures and policies
• Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory instrumentation, interpret results as to their accuracy, acceptability and critical limits and organize work to meet established deadlines and record all data obtained
• Work actively and be cooperative with nursing and other hospital staff to ensure timely patient care as well as assist with regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license per CA State Board
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent from an accredited college or university
• At least one year of acute care hospital experience; new grads will be considered
