Laboratory Analyst

About This Role

This full-time Laboratory Analyst position contributes to the scientific and technical operations of Superb Catch Inc. The role involves ensuring the quality, safety, and integrity of laboratory processes and testing procedures. It suits a dedicated individual with a passion for scientific accuracy and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory tests and analyses following established protocols and standard operating procedures
• Prepare, handle, and process laboratory samples with precision and attention to detail
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning optimally
• Record, document, and analyse laboratory results accurately, maintaining detailed records and reports
• Perform quality control checks on laboratory procedures and test results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues with laboratory equipment and procedures
• Collaborate with team members to develop and refine testing methodologies
• Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed at all times and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related course
• Work experience in a laboratory environment, ideally in a technical or quality assurance capacity (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Strong proficiency in operating standard laboratory equipment and analytical instruments
• Solid understanding of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Nice to have:

• Experience in food science, quality control, or marine-related laboratory testing
