Laboratory Analyst

About This Role

This entry-level laboratory analyst position involves performing analytical testing on cannabis and hemp samples. The role is suitable for individuals working towards or holding a college diploma in a science field who are seeking to work in a startup testing laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare solutions, standards, and reagents to conduct analysis
• Analyze samples for inorganic or organic compounds utilizing chromatography, spectroscopy, spectrophotometry, or other instrument techniques as needed
• Perform routine laboratory testing tasks using standard laboratory equipment such as balances, pipettes, pH meters, etc.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, including logbooks
• Perform initial data review
• Utilize good laboratory practices
• Follow AccuScience laboratories SOPs when conducting analyses
• Enter or upload results into LIMS system

Requirements

• Working toward college diploma
• College diploma preferred; science major preferred
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must be able to pass a level 2 background screening pursuant to section 435.04, F.S., and have not been found guilty of, or entered a plea of guilty or nolo contendere to, regardless of adjudication, any offense listed in chapters 837, 895, or 896, F.S., or similar law of another jurisdiction
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Relocate to Eustis, FL before starting work (Required)
